The POLYFLEX FFS technology puts a wide range of packaging versions at your disposal. The cups can be adjusted to suit your product and meet your special requirements so that your product is protected to the utmost and consumers can handle it easily. An effective visual appearance to help your brand to stand out is also supported. POLYFLEX is ideally suited to snacks, baby food, ready meals, soups, salads, puddings, animal feed, cereals, jams and lots more

  • Processing of different grades, including foamed grades, of polypropylene and single and multi-layer materials (e.g. with additional barrier properties for better product safety)

The brief behind the development of Polyflex was to enable polypropylene web to be used in an FFS process. And Polyflex machines more than live up to their name:

  • every machine has a customer-specific design, adjusted to suit the product and production requirements in question
  • not produced in series – every Polyflex is a "special machine" and is manufactured individually on the basis of many years of experience
  • many cup designs are possible
  • size configuration in keeping with the production capacity in question
  • flexible control concepts and the integration of customer-specific brands/systems.

  • expanded pre-heating for packaging material temperature control, supported by additional heating circuits with individual control options
  • safe foil support and guiding until the moment when the cups are formed
  • accurate temperature control as a pre-condition for optimum wall thickness distribution
  • optimised cooling system for cup stabilization
  • specially formed and controlled plug assists to ensure optimum distribution of wall thickness

Ideal Packaging Material Processed in the Best Possible Way

Polypropylene is the ideal packaging material for foodstuffs: it offers higher flexibility, heat resistance and ultimate strength than other plastics. Better resistance to e.g. oils and greases and an absolutely neutral smell round off this ideal profile. OYSTAR Hassia's proven FFS technologies have been adjusted to suit the special requirements of polypropylene to enable this packaging material to be used in the POLYFLEX.
